UNSW Open Day

Happy Fathers' Day!

Good afternoon ladies and gentleman. Today I will be informing you of my tiring weekend and before I begin I would like the take the opportunity to warn you that this oration will be rather tedious and long...

No not really. Okay maybe it might be :P Sorry was being an idiot in the previous paragraph heh. As you can tell from the title, that's what my weekend has been of so far. Well that's how I would like to believe. Let me start with UNSW.

To sum it up: UNSW Open Day was interesting, worthwhile and my legs snapped off.

I spent majority of the day with Ash because we wanted to go to similar lectures. It was my first time going to the university and I LOVE IT! I definitely want to go there now and study law after I went to the law lecture. But I also want to study International Studies. I'm more interested in these two than commerce now...but I know doing something with commerce is a smart option. The Open Day lectures made me understand more of what I actually put down on my UAC preferences. I went to the lectures for Asian Studies and Linguistics; International Studies; Marketing; and Law. I am no longer interested in Marketing - got put off when I heard the word statistics. Asian Studies sounds SOOO FUN! I wish I could study 3 degrees in one...they should make triple combined degrees. But even though I go on about wanting to study these things, I have to get the ATAR first. And what am I doing right now? Not studying I tell you.

Anyways, I walked up those one million flight of stairs more than 10 times and I'm not exaggerating. I swear, UNSW is designed to 1) make you fitter or 2) kill you. Unfortunately I fell into the second option. It's like I have a death wish or something even though I don't. Last week was almost getting heart attack from nearly missing our stops/train. Now this week it was stairs. Back to talking about the actual Open Day. If I do end up choosing something to do with Asian Studies I'm going to study 2 languages if possible - Japanese and Korean. That would be the best thing ever. Seriously. And they made Law sound very attractive. Barely any lectures. Law Review (and I'll tell you now that it has nothing to do with law). Peer mentoring and tutoring. Practical experience. Yep Law is staying number one on my UAC preferences. I got a lot of booklets and freebies I managed to get were: 2 cookbooks, a bouncy ball, packet of chips (which were yummy), CD of music, magnets, diary (for uni students and is 2009) and the bag.

By the way, I think half the high school Year 12 population was there, especially from Hurlstone. Met people from tutor too i.e. Khahan and Sylvia. Anyways afterwards went city with Jen, Angela, Ash, Allen, Adrian and Shak. Haha motley bunch of people but I found it really fun. Went to eat Ramenkan and I had katsudon. Allen ordered sake which came in a tiny pot. Angela tried some and I was surprised o.o They poured the remaining sake into my green tea milk which was 2 drops LOL Off topic - Oh my god I accidentally closed this page and thought I lost everything. Thank goodness I didn't. So I didn't end up going K. Next time!

Then today I woke up and felt like a zombie. My back and legs hurt and I couldn't hear my alarm. I remembering in my dream that some girls were singing the song (My Man by Davichi) which was my alarm...so I'm guessing my alarm rang around that time xD So I haven't done any work so far. It's stressing me out but I can't help it! Well maybe I can help myself by getting off the net but it's too addictive. I have been reading news on Korean celebrities and I just discovered an amazing site to get Korean piano music sheets from. Great time to get into Korean music >.> Listen to La Cha Ta by f(x) - I don't like the group personally and one of the members looks like a guy. I'm not even kidding...my sister and I thought it was a boy and we didn't believe that she was a girl. But the song is very catchy.

Okay that's all I needed to blab about. Post some funny stuff later if bothered (I haven't posted any interesting things in ages). Ciao!
